Shuswap Women In Business (SWIB) is a nonprofit organization created by women – for women. We believe in the power of networking and professional development opportunities. Combined with a collection of mutual support and collaboration, we are here to help eachother succeed. We invite entrepreneurs and women employed by businesses in our community to network, learn, grow and be inspired! Join us on the shores of the beautiful Shuswap Lake in Salmon Arm for one of our monthly luncheons or special events.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much is the membership? Our annual membership is $100 per year, from September 1 to August 31. We also have a discounted semi-annual membership fee, available for $50 to new members who join from February to March, until the annual term renews in September. You will receive a receipt for income tax purposes. We invite you to join us, anytime of year!

Q: How often do we meet?

Join us from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm on the third Monday of each month (except holidays) for the monthly luncheon & guest speaker. You can also attend the additional guest speakers and workshops we organize throughout the year. We are currently considering adding an evening meeting as well. Please contact us if this interests you.

Q: Who are members of SWIB? Our current membership includes a network of women in diverse industries in our community. This includes entrepreneurs, women who are employed by local businesses or are running their own homebased or local business location.
